Prevenge

Here's a word I've found handy a few times:
prevenge, noun.  Preemptive revenge taken in response to anticipated actions.

    It's a good word, but I think the state of Maryland still calls it "assault." But who knows, you might wind up with a perfectly cromulent judge.
